Sugar Overload!

These are sugar eggs that I made for some of the kids in our family. I tried several times to get the sugar eggs right and what I ended up with after 3 attempts was practically perfect. I purchased some large plastic eggs at the dollar store to use as a mold.

3 cups of sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
2 egg whites
2TBS meringue powder
3TBS water (adjust as necessary until you get a wet sand feel)
Grind in a food processor until fine.  Press into saran wrapped eggs.and allow to dry thoroughly.

When dry, decorate with fondant or gum paste.
